Deleting your account & data

Your mail is yours, and so is the decision to walk away. You can delete your Brievly account — and everything in it — directly from the app, in under a minute. This page explains exactly how, and what happens after.

Delete your whole account

From inside the Brievly app:

1Open Brievly and tap your Profile (the icon at the top of the home screen).
2Tap Delete account.
3Tick "I understand this is permanent."
4Tap Delete account again to confirm.

That's it. Your account and data are deleted immediately, and you'll be signed out.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes everything tied to it:

your profile and account details;
every scanned letter — the photos and the text and details extracted from them;
all deadlines, reminders, questions, and drafted replies;
your subscription record on our side.

This is permanent and can't be undone. Data is removed from our live systems right away and purged from encrypted backups within 30 days. We only keep records the law requires us to — for example, billing records tied to a past subscription.

If you have a subscription

Deleting your Brievly account does not cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so you need to cancel separately in your App Store or Google Play account to stop future charges.

iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Brievly → Cancel.
Android: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Brievly → Cancel.

Just want to delete one letter?

You don't have to delete everything. To remove a single letter, open it in the app, choose to delete it, and confirm. That letter, its image, and its reminders are gone — your account and other letters stay untouched.

Can't get into the app?

If you can no longer sign in, email support@brievly.app from the email address linked to your account and ask us to delete it. We'll verify it's you and complete the deletion within 30 days.
